In just a few short weeks, the world's largest softball event will be in full swing, THE Spring Games. Known as the hotspot for early season collegiate competition, THE Spring Games is ready to embark on its biggest year yet.

Kylee Smith is one of the most decorated pitchers in all of Divison II softball. Smith enters her senior season at North Georgia and is definitely a player to keep your eye on. She may only be 5-feet-2 tall, but the 3x 1st Team All-American packs a punch.

Callie Nunes enters her Junior season for Concordia University Irvine, where she continues to make a name for herself. The 2x All-American was selected as an NFCA/Schutt Sports Top 10 Finalist for National Pitcher of the Year during her 2019 campaign. After just 2 seasons with the Eagles, she's already adding her name CUI program history. She's currently ranked third in CUI's softball program in career shutouts (22) and fourth in strikeouts (555). She also enters the year tied for most career saves (8) in team history.

The key to success for every great pitcher is a great catcher. 

As many college softball programs around the country are wrapping up their winter camp opportunities, we recognized there was no shortage of talent at the recent Mickey Dean Softball Camp, in Auburn, Alabama.

Annabelle Widra, a Hoover, Alabama native began receiving scholarship offers from coaches when she was in the eighth grade. At first, she was flattered by the attention. But the stress, pressure and high expectations of school, workouts, homework, tournaments, and phone calls began to wear on Widra. 

University of Kentucky softball coach Rachel Lawson's love affair with softball began by attending rodeos with her family as a kid. The adult softball field was in shouting distance from the rodeo ring, so when it wasn’t her turn, she’d go out and watch the games.
