No. Player Position Club College
30 Danielle Romanello
#30 - Danielle Romanello
C/1B Gold Coast Hurricanes Florida
Danielle is one of the most physically strong players in the country and lives, eats and breathes softball. She is a clutch hitter who was a MaxPreps Freshman All-American after batting .575 with 23 extra base hits and 43 RBI to lead her Florida Class 2A team to a second straight state title. Danielle hit a game-winning RBI triple in the 1-0 championship game win and had a stretch late in the season when she went 17-for-24 with five homers and 16 RBI in seven games, a hot streak she's capable of launching at any time. Danielle is quiet, but leads by her actions and has played varsity high school ball since the seventh grade.
29 Megan Dray
#29 - Megan Dray
C/3B Lady Lightning Gold Team Miken North Carolina
You can't have much of a better freshman year than Megan, who hit .410 with eight doubles and four home runs in leading her North Carolina team to a 27-0 mark and its first ever state title. She finished with a bang, too, hitting .571 with five RBI in the last two playoff games along with throwing out three runners. A great all-around athlete, she was 2nd Team All-State in softball and honorable mention All-Conference in volleyball and basketball. Megan's understanding of the game is one of her strengths and she shuts down the game with her strong arm and quick release. At the plate, she's a power threat and able to go deep at any time. Megan also has a 4.0 GPA and No. 2 ranking in her class.
28 Rachelle Benavides
#28 - Rachelle Benavides
SS/2B Texas Bombers Gold Florida State
Rachelle, or "Rock" as she's nicknamed, has been a Bomber since age 12 and has become one the best players in the club team's history. She is one of only three players in the Bombers' history to start on the Gold team as an eighth grader. Rachelle is a hard-nosed, smart defensive player who's smooth and has coaches comparing her Derek Jeter of the Yankees. Her range at short is at the top of the charts and her offensive is also stellar as she hit .420 this summer and stole 25 bases. The Texan is also a great leader who makes players around her better.
27 Ashley Morgan
#27 - Ashley Morgan
C/UT Georgia Impact - Jeffreys Tennessee
Ashley is one of the best all-around athletes in the 2017 class as she can play first, catch and line up in the outfield at a D1 level. She can even pitch when needed. Ashley's a game-changing player who hits to all fields with power and on defense has a fantastic arm. Coaches also love her softball IQ and work ethic; her drive to improve her strength and conditioning is unheard of from a player at this level. Ashley was chosen as the Douglas County (Ga.) Player of the Year and Hitter of the Year after she led her high school team to a 32-win season, a regional title and appearance in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs. In the first round of the playoffs, she pitched a complete game win and had three home runs with five RBI.
26 Ivy Davis
#26 - Ivy Davis
SS Firecrackers - Brashear Arizona
One coach called Ivy a "freak of nature" because she's a lefty slapper who can turn around right-handed and hit a ball over the fence. At the Colorado Fireworks Tournament in July, she hit a 250-foot home run. The Huntington Beach, Calif. standout has 2.6-2.7 second speed to first and on defense has a cannon for an arm coupled with great range. Ivy hit .367 in the competitive Orange County area and was 14-for-15 in steals. She had offers from several Pac-12 and SEC programs who loved her ability to disrupt a game and make plays on offense and defense.
25 Taryn Antione
#25 - Taryn Antione
OF Wichita Mustangs LSU
Taryn started off from the right side and was moved to the left when she was an eighth grader to take advantage of her 2.7 home-to-first quickness. The Alexandria, La. star was playing locally before being discovered by the Mustangs and her stock has exploded over the last few years as she has faced elite players and pitchers. Taryn started off as a shortstop and was moved to outfield where she has flourished. A fantastic athlete who is one of the best track athletes in the state (400 meters), she was also first in Louisiana and second nationally in powerlifting, setting a national record in the dead lift for the 14-15 age group as she put up 353 pounds. She committed to LSU this fall.
24 Juliana Rodriguez
#24 - Juliana Rodriguez
P/OF Jersey Intensity UCLA
Juliana is a skilled, intuitive five-tool player who does everything well on the field, mentally and physically. She broke several of her high school's records including average (.608), doubles (13) and triples (nine) to earn All-North Jersey honors. Her batting average was also second best in the state. Juliana is a very good pitcher too, but her athleticism and ability to make big plays will likely see her in the everyday line-up at UCLA. She's always played up and is a lifetime .550 hitter with opposite field power to go deep. Competitive and smart on the bases, the New Jersey standout does the little things well that help a team win.
23 Savanna Bonola
#23 - Savanna Bonola
SS/3B Texas Blaze - Bonola Tennessee
Savanna is a franchise player you can build around because she can do it all: she has the speed of a slapper, leadoff hitter and base stealer, the power of a slugging cleanup hitter and the glove and arm of an elite shortstop. She is explosive out of the box and has unteachable, instinctive running skills. At the plate Savanna can do anything a coach needs--from drawing a walk to slapping for a single or driving the ball deep. Defensively, she just seems to know where the ball is going to be hit. Savanna started every game as a freshman earning 2nd Team All-District honors in the competitive 5A Conference. Savanna hit .583 and had an on-base percentage of .667.
22 Meghan Beaubien
#22 - Meghan Beaubien
P/1B Beverly Bandits Michigan
Meghan is an outstanding lefty pitcher with an incredible change-up and over the last year has become a terrific pitcher with a 64-mph fastball plus a rise, screwball and curve to complement the change that keeps everyone off balance. Coaches rave about her great personality and leadership on and off the field. Very smart, Meghan scored a 29 on her ACT as an eighth grader and carries a 4.8 GPA. She was a Michigan 1st Team All-State pick in Div. 3 after having a monster freshman year with a 19-9 record, 0.69 ERA and 254 strikeouts. She committed to Michigan in December, 2013 and cancelled visits to Ohio State and Kentucky.
21 Kendyll Bailey
#21 - Kendyll Bailey
MIF DeMarini Aces Missouri
Kendyll jumped from the 14U level to Gold and didn't miss a beat including a .750 average in the Boulder tournament. She also dramatically increased her power and her ability to hit home runs and had six homers last summer against elite pitching. Kendyll has very soft hands at second coupled with good range and the athletic ability to control the infield. She earned Class 3A All-State honors in Missouri and had her choice of schools in the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC but chose Missouri as it's about an hour and a half from her home. A very hard worker, she has all the tools to continue improving and with experience it's impossible to predict how good she can be.
