The Gulf South Conference (GSC) and FloSports, have announced an expansion of sports coverage to include soccer, baseball, softball and women’s lacrosse to its ground-breaking agreement. The increase comes in year two of a five-year agreement, which was announced in May 2023.

Starting in Fall 2024, the four added sports will have regular season and championship events streamed exclusively on FloSports and covered across its digital media channels. The addition of these sports results in over 1,300 GSC sporting events streamed each year, while pushing the value of the media rights agreement to seven-figures.

“The GSC has a long track record of being a leader in Division II, evident in 2020 when we became the first Division II conference to partner with FloSports—which now has partnerships with five D2 conferences,” said GSC Commissioner Matt Wilson. “Since the beginning, our institutions have been unified in the goal to elevate our consumer video and have shown a willingness to invest to assist in improving the experience for fans.”

Chris Keldorf, FloSports Senior Director Rights & Acquisitions, added, “This expansion is a testament to a true partnership that has been successful for both FloSports and the GSC. It also comes at the perfect time, as we get ready to launch our new FloCollege platform and expand its offerings for users.”

The Gulf South partnership expansion furthers FloSports’ efforts to strengthen its NCAA offering and broaden its FloCollege portfolio, which will include the BIG EAST, Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), South Atlantic Conference (SAC), Gulf South Conference (GSC), Landmark Conference, California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC),The New England Men’s & Women’s Conference (NEWMAC),  and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), with more conferences on the horizon.

Via the conference’s partnership, fans can benefit from restructured pricing, including discounted monthly and annual subscription rates for those who sign-up using a GSC member institution domain (.edu) emails. Subscribers may also be able to watch their favorite schools and teams in road non-conference contests when they compete against other FloSport partnered conferences such as the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) at no added cost.

Gulf South fans can watch events across all screens by downloading the FloSports app on their favorite digital and streaming devices—Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, the App store, and Google Play Store. For connected TV viewers, FloSports will update its app to feature enhanced personalization, discoverability, and streaming capability making it easier than ever for users to find and favorite the teams, games, and sports they love.

FloSports plans to invest more than $50 million dollars into FloCollege to support rights fees, production, content, product technology, and marketing. The direct investment in conference rights will help member institutions apply funding towards their own broadcast and production capabilities to further enhance the quality of coverage across all sports, ensuring parity and inclusivity.
