The weekend of June 4-7 this summer will be loaded with quality events: the Diamond 9 Sun Classic in Orlando, Fla. and the Zoom into June in Hemet, Calif. will highlight the coasts, but one that is going to be drawing great club teams from the middle of the country is the Tulsa Elite Summer Invite, which will be preceded by one of the OnDeck Jamborees run by Derek and Joann Allister.

Event: 5th Annual Tulsa Elite Summer Invite & OnDeck Oklahoma Jamboree

Date(s): June 4-7, 2015 with OnDeck Jamboree on June 3rd

Location:  Arrowhead Park, Broken Arrow, Okla. (the 2014 ASA/USA National Complex of the Year)

Ages: 14U Juniors Division (24 teams); 16U Seniors Division (48 teams) and 18U Power Pool (12 teams)

Brief Description: The tournament is in its fifth year and has grown to be one of the top recruiting events of the year. It’s being held June 4-7, 2015 at Arrowhead Park in Broken Arrow, Okla. immediately following the NCAA DI Women’s College World Series and the end of the NCAA Dead Period.

Says Event Director Jeff Filali, “We bring in 84 top teams with over 1,000 of the best players from the 2015-2021 classes to play all their games at one park against top competition in extended 1:30 seven inning games with coaches-only sections, meals and VIP hospitality. The field of teams comes from eight different states and includes many strong programs like Texas Glory, Germantown Red Devils, St Louis Chaos, Texas Bombers, Impact Gold, DFW Firecrackers, Wichita Mustangs, KC Peppers, Gametime Stars and, of course, nine Tulsa Elite Teams, along with a lot of other great regional teams.”

“On Wednesday, prior to the tournament, OnDeck Softball will host the 1st Oklahoma Jamboree with over 90 total invitees in the 2016-2021 classes. Derek and Joann do such a great job with their Jamboree Camps bringing in only the best players and helping connect them with college coaches. We hosted our own combine last year prior to the event as a test and sent the testing results to the Allisters and many college coaches.”

“The Combine was a very successful event attracting a lot of strong talent who was uncommitted at the time but later committed to major programs like Elissa Brown (2016, Alabama), Aubrey Johnson (2016, Central Florida), Hayley Galvan (2016, Oklahoma State), Sydney Pennington (2017, Oklahoma State), Jessica Patak (2017, Stephen F Austin), just to name a few. We expect an even stronger talent pool this year now that OnDeck is running the event.”
