Scrap Yard Dawgs pitcher Cheridan Hawkins had a phenomenal outing against the Beijing Shougang Eagles, throwing a two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts. It was a 1-0 ball game until the top of the seventh when Olivia Watkins led off with a triple down the right field line.

With one out, Nerissa Myers followed up with a triple of her own to score Watkins. Nancy Bowling loaded the bases for the Dawgs and pinch hitter Brianna Cherry singled up the middle to put two more runs on the board. The Dawgs win 4-0 and improve to 28-12.
