The 2025 Division I college softball season officially begins today, and FloSoftball is set to deliver a slew of incredible matchups and tournaments.

After a tough loss to begin its 2025 season, the Florida State softball team picked up its first win of the new campaign, a 7-1 victory over Northern Colorado at the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

After a once-uncertain future and years of trying to stay afloat, Northern Colorado softball has finally begun to find its stride again.

The Northern Colorado Softball team has had 11 Women's College World Series berths since the tournament's founding. However, all 11 of those appearances occurred consecutively in the first 11 years of the WCWS, leaving Northern Colorado Softball without a glimpse of the World Series for several decades.

The 10-team field for the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Classic has been released. Florida State Softball, BYU, Boise, Indiana, Oklahoma State, and more to head to Mexico this February.

The Creighton softball team has a busy weekend ahead, and the flurry of action will include five games over three days against three opponents, starting Friday with Northern Colorado.
