Halfway through the 2018 Hot 100
We’ve posted the first 50 of the outstanding players in the revised 2018 Hot 100 and are using the halfway point to look at some early trends.

If you missed this week's rankings, you can see 100-91, 90-81, 80-71, 70-61, and 60-51 exclusively on FloSoftball!

It’s always fun to look at where things stand one week in with the Top 50 yet to be revealed.

Here are some interesting developments so far… we’ll see how it goes when all 100 are revealed!


*** Colleges who have the most commits so far (players ranked 51-100):
  • Oklahoma State (4)
  • Duke (3)
  • Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon State, Penn State, South Carolina, Stanford, uncommitted (2)
*** It’s not just your “big name” universities that are represented… Hot 100 players also go to “non-Power 5 conference schools” like:
  • Central Florida
  • Colorado State
  • East Carolina
  • Hofstra
  • Southern Mississippi
  • Utah State
*** Top club organizations with players listed so far (may include different teams within the program):

*** In terms of states producing players, California leads the way with 10 players being from the Golden State of the 50 players released to date. The list so far goes like this:

*** It’s often hard to pinpoint a player’s primary position—some may be a shortstop primarily while another may call herself a middle infielder—but here are the primary positon breakdowns of the first 50 as they were given to FloSoftball:
