We continue our look at the updated Hot 100 as we rank the top 100 players in the 2018 class… we're spotlighting 10 each day as we count down from 100 to No. 1.

We continue our look at the updated Hot 100 as we rank the top 100 players in the 2018 class… we're spotlighting 10 each day as we count down from 100 to No. 1.

We'll announce the Top 10 of the class on Friday, December 23, profile the No. 1 player on Saturday, December 24 and then on December 25--Christmas Day--we will reveal the "Next In (101-200)."

Finally, on Tuesday, December 27, FloSoftball will unveil our Top College Rankings for the '18 class.

Since we first released the 2018 Hot 100, there has been a lot of changes as players have emerged as nationally prominent recruits. In fact, 43 of the players in this second version are new!

These junior standouts were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches who've seen them play across the nation. Criteria for choosing and ranking the players including performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players Nos. 90 to 81 with standout players from California, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas (2).

90 - Madyson Lohman MIF… Texas Glory (Oklahoma State)
Madyson is a versatile infielder who can play short, second and even third base. She has good range and consistent arm accuracy in the field and her defensive skills have earned her District Defensive MVP honors. Offensively, the Texas junior is a solid left-handed bat who can drive the ball or slap through the gaps. Mady can hit for average and power and plays with a level of confidence that rubs off on her teammates. She committed to OSU in January of 2016.

89 - Hallie Ketchum OF… Iowa Premier Gold (Minnesota)
Hallie was a Class 5A All-State honoree in Iowa in softball thanks in large part to her excellent speed, which is in the 2.7 home-to-first range. Some college coaches think she's the best defensive centerfielder in the Midwest while offensively she is a five-tool hitter who can slap and drive the ball too. At PGF Platinum Nationals she went 5-for-5 in one game with three triples. Hallie is also very strong and holds every female weightlifting record for her high school.

88 - Madison Owens SS/3B… Lady Lightning Gold (South Carolina)
Madison is a game-changer who one coach called "dynamite in a package." She is a .500+ hitter who has earned All-State honors for her South Carolina high school because she has slapper speed along with power to drive the ball deep and can impact the game with one swing. Madison has a lot of range on defense and can be plugged into multiple positions. She's also a terror on the bases. Madison can go on a hot streak that can carry a team for an entire tournament. At one club showcase last year she went 11-for-12 with four home runs. She had interest from several SEC schools before deciding to stay close to home and play for the Gamecocks.

87 - Ashley Prange SS/C… Beverly Bandits (Ohio State)
Ashley can rake with the best and hits for power and average. She hit over .450 for her Indiana high school and close to .400 for the Indiana Magic who she helped lead to a 2nd place finish at TC/USA Nationals in 2014. Upon joining the Bandits this fall, she went on an incredible 17-for-20 streak. Her arm strength was one of the first aspects of her game that caught coaches' eyes and her ability to make plays that few shortstops can got her Power 5 conference interest as an eighth grader when she decided to commit to the Buckeyes in May of 2014.

86 - Lexi Wagner OF… Ohio Outlaws (Pittsburgh)
Lexi is one of the best all-around athletes in the 2018 class and is a workout warrior who dominates in the weight room and in Crossfit training. She has used her workouts to develop enhance her physical tools, strength and athleticism, so much so that her coaches have nicknamed her "The Beast." Lexi has played up on older teams for four years with three of those being at the 18U level. For her Pennsylvania high school she hit .469 and was moved to shortstop from the outfield as she has the hands and quickness to make plays wherever she lines up in the field.

85 - Rhomie Bradshaw OF/MIF… Gametime Stars (Oklahoma State)
Rhomie is a five-tool player who is a high-impact hitter and helped lead the Stars to Top 10 finishes at the USA Softball JO Cup and Colorado Sparkler/Fireworks tournaments this year. A great all-around athlete, the Oklahoma junior also holds one of the top Allister Index ratings with a 98.8 and not just athletic, but she's advanced in her softball IQ and instincts. Rhomie gets her on-field talents from her father, Chris, who was part of the Oklahoma Sooners National Championship baseball team in 1994 and has taken over the reigns of the Gametime Stars 18U Gold team.

84 - Jessica Morgan C/3B… East Cobb Bullets -- Biele (Georgia)
Jessica receives the ball as well as any catcher in the nation. She has excellent footwork with a pop time that has been clocked as low at 1.68. While her bat has prototype SEC power, coaches rave about her ability to control the game from behind the plate. Last travel season for her previous team she batted .395 with 15 home runs. At the high school level, Jessica led her Georgia team in every statistical category while earning Player of the Year honors for her region and 1st team All-State recognition. She hit .465 with 10 home runs 31RBI's and 9 stolen bases.

83 - Kelly Maxwell P… Aces Express (Oklahoma State)
Kelly is one of the top pitchers in Texas and as a 5-foot-9 lefty, she throws the ball hard (mid 60's) and complements it with a nasty change-up. She has all the tools and has progressed into becoming a dominating pitcher who keeps the opponents off balance while racking up a lot of strikeouts. In one key high school game this year, she threw a no-hitter with 10 Ks and in a big playoff game threw a two-hit shutout. Kelly was honored as the District 14-6A MVP as a sophomore in 2016 following her being picked as the District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman.

82 - Karissa Ornelas C… Athletics TO-Mercado (Central Florida)
Karissa ("KO") is a premier catcher and has been with the Athletics TO-Mercado team since 2013 when it won a PGF National Title. She was at the top, or near the top, in many offensive categories the past couple years including, hits, doubles, RBIs and average. On top of her offensive skills, KO is one of the best defensive catchers in the nation with a 1.8-range pop time and opponents decide early on that they will not attempt run to on her. Karissa also controls the defense and pitchers as a leader behind the plate. She was highly recruited at age 13 by many top schools and top conferences and accepted an offer as a freshman to attend UCF where she will play with two of her best friends and current teammates in Breanna Vasquez and Tera Testa.

81 - Alyssa Pinto OF/1B… Firecrackers -- Rico (Oregon)
Alyssa has lived in Washington, Northern California, Texas and now Colorado over the last few years as her father is in the military, but wherever she has lived she's been a standout player both in club and in high school. She can bat both ways and is sneaky fast, has a strong mental game and things well under pressure. Last spring she hit .525 and helped her Texas team to a 5A State Championship while earning 1st Team All-State honors and this fall helped lead her Colorado team to its first ever 5A State Title and was named 2nd Team All-American as she batted .500. Alyssa also plays for the PGF 18U National Champion Firecrackers-Rico squad. She has also had a change in her college situation as she recently switched her verbal to Oregon from Washington.
