The first week of releasing the UPDATED Hot 100 list for the 2015 class is complete with players ranked 51 through 100 now known

Monday through Friday (Halloween) we’ll unveil the rest of the list which includes some players not previously on the first 2015 Hot 100 list released in January.

The Top 10 has some movement, too, with two players making the final day who weren’t in before and some significant shuffling going on… the big question is, will there be a change at the top, meaning at No. 1?

Seeing how we’re at the halfway point, here are some early trends of note…

*****

*** Colleges who have the most commits so far (players ranked 51-100):

  • Tennessee (4)
  • LSU (3)
  • 10 schools with two players (Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, Cal, Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah and Washington)

*** You don’t have to be going to a so-called “big-name” program or belong to a so called power conference to make the list either.

Here are some of the universities who have a player who’s made the grade:

  • Georgetown
  • Georgia Southern
  • Harvard
  • San Diego State
  • Tulsa

*** Several club organizations – meaning not just one team but can be several squads –have multiple players listed already and many are in the South/Southeast.

T Statman is one of three Birmingham Bolts on the list already.

Here’s the list of all who have more than one player to have made the first 50 cut:

  • Birmingham Thunderbolts (3)
  • Corona Angels (3)
  • Firecrackers (3)
  • OC Batbusters (3)
  • Atlanta Vipers – Loveless (2)
  • East Cobb Bullets (2)
  • 7 club teams with two players (Beverly Bandits, Cal Cruisers, Explosion, Lady Lightning Gold Team Miken, Sudden Impact, Team North Florida, Wichita Mustangs)

*** When you think states that produce talent, California leads the way with 19 players being in the 50 players released to date.

The list so far goes like this:

  • California (19)
  • Georgia (5)
  • Arizona (4)
  • Florida (3)
  • Four states with two players (Kan., Miss., Ohio and Texas)

*** The first half of the 2015 Hot 100 has 19 states listed with at least one player included.

Here’s the list: Ala., Calif., Ariz., Ark., Fla., Ga., Kan., Ky., La., Ind., Mich., Miss., Mo., N.C., Ohio, Okla., Pa., Tenn. and Texas.
