No. Player Position Club College
20 Alexys Haskins
#20 - Alexys Haskins
2B/OF Birmingham Thunderbolts Tennessee
Alexys is the complete package of physical skills, mental toughness, passion and intensity for the game. One coach used the word "relentless" to describe her. Alexys is a slapper who is far ahead in understanding the game to the point she understands her role in every situation. The Tennessee freshman hit .529 last summer at the club level with a .644 on-base percentage. She can also run as shown by her 23 steals. The Tennessee freshman committed to the Vols in December of 2013 after being recruited by Big 12, Big Ten and SEC schools.
19 Hannah Carson
#19 - Hannah Carson
C/SS Finesse Michigan
Hannah is lefty power hitter who also has base stealing speed. As a backstop she has had pop times clocked as low as 1.65. Her work ethic is off the charts as she does live hitting against former college pitchers weekly and when she was in the fifth grade would go to her local school field at 6 am to work on her throwing. For practice, Hannah travels two hours each way three times a week. She committed to Michigan in December of 2014 after being recruited by major schools across the country in conferences like the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC.
18 Maddie Banks
#18 - Maddie Banks
MIF Beverly Bandits Washington
Maddie is a natural born leader on and off the field. She is very strong and has a lean frame but is built like a bodybuilder with a strong core. The Iowa freshman is primarily a shortstop but has the athleticism to play anywhere. At the plate she swings for power and average and can go to all fields equally well. Maddie is a natural born leader on and off the field and has a great personality with all the intangibles to make her successful. More than one coach expects her to be a future All-Pac-12 caliber player.
17 Madison Pacini
#17 - Madison Pacini
C/OF So Cal Athletics - Richardson Tennessee
Madison, or "Maddi," is a great all-around player who has the speed and strength to play multiple positions including outfielder and catcher. She was a key figure on the So Cal A's-Quarles team that won the ASA 14U Nationals last summer and finished 2nd at PGF 14U Nationals. She really stepped it up at Nationals: at PGF Maddi batted .417 and at ASA she hit four home runs and had 17 RBI including a two-RBI game-winning hit in the title game. The So Cal athlete is a clutch player who comes up biggest when the spotlight is the brightest. For example, to start off this high school year she hit a two-run walk-off homer in the Cougar Classic in mid-March.
16 Shelby Wickersham
#16 - Shelby Wickersham
P Louisiana Patriots Gold LSU
Shelby is a 5-foot-11 multi-sport athlete who played basketball and varsity volleyball, but gave those up to concentrate on her SEC pitching future. She throws 63 mph and has a drop and rise that is baffling to opposing hitters. Shelby led her 12U club team to the USSSA World Series championship and was the MVP pitcher. She won a scholarship from her in-state dream school, LSU, after she attended weekly clinics and impressed the Tiger staff. Coaches rave about her dedication and love of the game and she's considered a great teammate and presence in the dugout. Shelby had other SEC schools interested but committed immediately when LSU offered.
15 Amanda Beane
#15 - Amanda Beane
SS Gold Coast Hurricanes - Fisher Florida
Amanda has a great mix of size, speed and power. She was clocked at one event last summer with an overhand throw of 68 mph and at a Florida Gator camp she was timed at 11.1 seconds home-to-home. Amanda can play anywhere on the field except pitcher and at shortstop has great range and is quick to the ball. Her glove work is equally excellent. At the plate she hits for average and power and can put the ball in the dirt at any time. Amanda had eight home runs last year while compiling a .396 batting average playing against some of the best teams in the country. Even from the right side, if a bunt is not played perfectly by the defense, she is on base. The Florida freshman also plays varsity basketball and volleyball.
14 Makinzy Herzog
#14 - Makinzy Herzog
OF/UT Texas Bombers Gold Florida State
Makinzy is a left-handed hitter with plus power and speed. She can hit the ball out for a home run and just as easily put it on the ground and beat it out. Makinzy has the ability to slap the ball with precision and is also an excellent bunter. Her great quickness and speed allows her to cover a huge amount of real estate in the outfield and her speed is the difference-maker in every game she plays. Makinzy is also a great pitcher and can rack up the strikeouts when called up. Because of her all-around abilities, she's been compared to another great Texan, Kristen Shortridge, who played at LSU.
13 Rachel Cid
#13 - Rachel Cid
IF Sorcerer Gold Oregon
Rachel is a stellar middle infielder who has great mechanics and fundamentals in the field. She is smooth in her movements and is fluid receiving and releasing the ball. As good as she is defensively -- versatile and good enough as a freshman to be playing on one of the top 18U Gold teams in the country -- Rachel is also an off-the-charts hitter. She comes up big in pressure situations and can hit for power or average, often dependent on what the situation entails. Rachel hit a big three-run homer at PGF Nationals last summer and has started off her varsity career with a bang this year, hitting .619 with 17 RBI in her first 12 games for her NorCal high school.
12 Kayla Boseman
#12 - Kayla Boseman
P Birmingham Thunderbolts Mississippi State
Kayla can do it all on the field: she's a lock-down pitcher and has been an All-County pick since her seventh grade year. She started off her freshman season this spring by going 5-0 with 38 strikeouts in 19 innings with a 0.74 ERA. But that is only half the story: Kayla is also a terror at the plate and had 24 homers in summer and fall club ball last year. For her high school team, she's hitting .750 with 15 RBI and four home runs so far. One of the best pure athletes and dual-threats in the 2018 class, she is also an All-County volleyball player. She committed to Mississippi State in late November of 2014 after blowing up at the Colorado Sparklers tournament earlier in the year.
11 Brittany Allen
#11 - Brittany Allen
SS/3B Ohana Tigers Florida
Some coaches feel Brittany is the best hitter in the freshman class. She hit .667 in the 2013 PGF Nationals and at the 2014 ASA Nationals batted .552. Brittany has been a part of three club teams that have won Nationals and is an ideal 2 hole hitter. She is big, strong and athletic and is a strong infielder who, through the first 10 high school games this spring, hadn't made an error. Brittany is also hitting .407 and knocked a game-winning two run homer in ITB at the Tournament of Champions in Southern California. Above all, her work ethic and fire to succeed are what coaches and scouts say is the most attractive thing about the infielder.
