Delaware softball will host four teams for their own early-season tournament, the Blue Hen Invitational. 

The Blue Hens will welcome Maine, Bucknell and Fairfield to Newark for five games over three days in early March.

While the Blue Hens sit at an 8-5 record to start the season, none of the other opponents have begun 2024 particularly well. Maine is 0-8, Bucknell is 4-8 and Fairfield is 0-5. 

The Blue Hens ended last season with a 29-20 record overall, but with a good conference record of 18-5. They'll look to improve upon last season's loss early in the CAA Tournament.

The Blue Hen Invitational runs March 1 through March 3.

The Blue Hen Invitational takes place in Newark, Delaware, at the Delaware Softball Diamond.
