Rising Star: 2021 P/3B Drew Riddle
FloSoftball Rising Star profile of 2021 Pitcher, 3rd base for Tulsa Elite '02 Drew Riddle.
Summer ball has officially started and Drew Riddle is already racking up some big numbers at the plate.
At the Tulsa Elite Summer Invite from June 8-11, she went 4-4 in the semifinal game with two bombs over the fence.
"I went up with a lot of confidence because I was seeing the ball well," Riddle said. "We were playing a great team (Texas Glory-Naudin) and I was just trying my best to help out my team."
Riddle went 19 for 29 the whole weekend, giving her a .655 batting average with three home runs and eight doubles. Her consistency, not just at bat, but also as a pitcher and third baseman, is obvious to anyone watching her play.
"I think my team played extremely well against outstanding competition," Riddle said. "It was fun playing against loaded teams with great pitchers. Coach Filali works very hard for our organization and puts on wonderful events. I am fortunate to play with such a class organization."
Last year, Riddle's team won Nationals and she took home the MVP pitching trophy. She's already paving the way for this summer to be just as or even more successful.
