Sorcerer 16U with two top 2018’s (1/23)

As we continue looking at talented freshman in advance of our launching the 2018 Hot 100, we go to Northern California to spotlight a pair of players who have a strong chance to make the list.

Both of these players play for the same team, the Sorcerer – Williams 16U team which last summer tied for 5th at the PGF 14U National Championship.

The duo have a lot in common: each was heavily recruiting early after strong showings at OnDeck events and verballed to major programs one to the Big 12 and the other to the SEC.

Here’s a closer look at the athletes who you’ll be hearing a lot about over the next few years!


Player: GRACE GREEN
Club: Sorcerer – Williams 16U
Position(s): 3B/P
High School: Oakdale
City/ST: Oakdale, Calif.
Club Stats: 2014 summer hit .444 and led the team in home runs (7) and RBIs (39).
Honors: OnDeck National Elite Camp participant (2013)
GPA: 3.86
Recruiting: verbal to Oklahoma… also considered and/or visited Oregon, UCLA and Cal.
Interesting Note: Grace’s father, Daniel, was the 2013 Rodeo World Timed Champion (Guthrie, Okla).

Player: DANIELLE WILLIAMS
Club: Sorcerer – Williams 16U
Position(s): P/OF
High School: Amador Valley (big shoes to fill replacing Johanna Grauer!)
City/ST: Pleasanton, CA
Club Stats: 2014 summer pitched 47% of team’s innings with an ERA of 0.20 and led the team in batting average (.490).
Honors: OnDeck June Jamboree participant and National Elite Camp invitee (2014)
GPA: 3.85
Recruiting: verbal to Missouri… also considered and/or visited Northwestern, Michigan, Arizona State, Arizona, Auburn, Oregon and Oregon State.
Interesting Note: She wants to be a veterinarian; her older sister (Krista) is an OF at Northwestern.
