North Mankato, MN (July 11, 2019) —The Aussie Peppers of Minnesota and Chicago Bandits wrapped up a five-game series Thursday night in North Mankato, Minnesota.
Chicago wins the series finale by a final of 7-1 over the Peppers to win the series.
The Peppers started off the scoring in the third inning off an RBI single from Verity Long-Droppert. Rachele Fico got out of a bases-loaded jam with an inning-ending double play.
Chicago responded in the fourth with a solo home run from Abbey Cheek.
In the fifth inning, the Bandits hit back to back solo home runs from Amanda Chidester and Cheek.
Chidester went deep again in the sixth with a three-run homer. She finished with four RBI’s in the contest.
Cheek blasted another solo home run in the inning to cap off an impressive night at the plate. Cheek recorded three homers in the game as the Bandits take the series from the Peppers.
