Over the next couple of weeks, we will be recognizing the top sophomores from Junior Colleges across the country.
Last season, Chipola-alum pitcher Krystal Goodman was ranked No. 1 and went on to pitch for the University of Alabama who ended up winning the SEC regular season and was the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Division I tournament. Goodman holds a 1.10 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 76.1 innings pitched. No. 2 ranked Molly Jacobsen finished off a stellar career at Des Moines Area went on to earn a starting spot for Ole Miss. Jacobsen currently holds a 1.97 ERA with 145.1 innings pitched leading the team with 142 strikeouts.
This season we celebrate the sophomore studs who will go on to make a huge impact at the next program.

The right-handed throwing sophomore has been a constant presence for the Bulldogs. After a 21 win season a year ago and a 1st team all-Region nod, Middleton was named the 2019 GCAA Pitcher of the Year after posting 21 wins and a 1.83 ERA with 156 Ks. | ||

The 5-foot-7 first baseman is the top RBI producer while averaging well over a .700 SLG% in her 2 years for coaches Heidi and Scott Jordan and the NJCAA D2 5th-ranked Scotties. | ||

Transfer from Butler CC, the leadoff hitter can do it all for the Lady Cavs- speed (39 SB) and power (25 doubles/10 HR/55 RBI) Cole has been a perfect fit to help pace an always stout offense. | ||

Centerfielder & leader that has Manatee on the rise nationally. Leading the way in hits, runs scored and steals, Nunez was a 1st team all-Suncoast Conference selection and 2nd team Region 8 while leading her team to the FCSSA State Tournament- will no doubt excel at the next level. | ||

Freshman of the Year in 2018 in Jayhawk Conference & 2nd Team NJCAA all-American, the Oklahoma native is once again leading the 19th ranked Tigers offensively with a .500BA and 12 HRS 19 doubles 49 RBI. | ||

Puppolo helped the Generals advance to the NJCAA D3 Championship game allowing just four earned runs while striking out 34 in 23 postseason IP. The returning 1st team all-American has 3rd-ranked Herkimer on the path to another championship run. | ||

After a record-breaking season that saw Marshall garner NJCAA 2nd team AA honors, she is back helping lead the Lady Norse with her .406 BA 43 RBI and 9 HR along with being able to play multiple positions if needed. | ||

A returning 1st team AA and preseason FPN AA, McClafin has put up big-time numbers in her two years and has struck out just twice in her college career. Freshman year saw her finish with a .607BA/75RBI/11HR. So far she is hitting a .590 thru 33 with 9 HR & 48 RBI games. Solid numbers no matter what division you play. | ||

2018 1st team all-conference 1st team All-NorCal and 2019 1st team all-CCCAA State, Dobbs is one of the top long ball hitters in the Cal JC ranks. Finished the season with 15 HR (27 in Taft career) and 45 RBI. |
