To everyone's surprise, Alabama was seeded at No. 8 after winning the SEC regular season and finishing as the runner-up at the SEC Tournament. Coach Pat Murphy is embracing the underdog mentality with his Bama squad who were picked to finish 8th in the SEC preseason poll.
With the strength of the SEC conference, every team made it to the dance with six teams hosting.
The Big 12 and Big Ten proved to be much stronger this season with six regional host sites selected that include: Oklahoma, Northwestern, Texas, Oklahoma State, Michigan, and Minnesota.
Looking at the layout of regional sites, there is plenty of room for upsets if the top seeds don't bring their "A" game.
