The softball community responded with an outpour of love and support of the Batbusters beloved coach.
He won a number of championships including at the youth and high school level. His leadership on and off the field prepared thousands of players to pursue their dreams of competing at the next level. Campbell's impact left an everlasting ripple effect on the softball community.
Intense by nature, Campbell was a retired homicide detective who found a love and passion for coaching youth softball through his daughters
Campbell demanded an internal strength and resiliency out of his players that they didn’t know existed.
His attention to detail was tireless. His love for the game was infinite.
Behind the dark sunglasses and iconic mustache was a tender-hearted and an unbelievable coach who cared so deeply for his players.
We will miss you.

Speechless...Mark Campbell was one of the best teachers our sport of softball has ever seen. He taught girls how to play like women...with humility. Prayers of strength for family and all who worked with him.

The greatest coach I’ve ever had. He taught his players how to win, how to compete. One of the best parts about playing for him, he treated everybody the same. The first two months I played for him I didn’t even know he had a daughter on the team. He taught us how to WORK HARD.
