Make way for the softball emoji in early 2018. According to Emojipedia, the softball will be included in the next emoji update that includes a kangaroo, a llama, a swan, redheads, baldheads, bagels, and more.
Twitter handles like @softballemoji have been advocating for the softball emoji since September 2015.
"People felt like they were getting left out. So I felt like I should step up and try and make that happen,” Jeremy Burge of the Unicode Emoji Subcommittee told NPR’s All Things Considered.
