When Kalei Harding isn't dancing, she's most likely crushing the ball for TN Fury Platinum or her high school team, Blackman Lady Blaze.

The 2020 catcher/shortstop is currently in the midst of the recruiting process, visiting schools like Florida State and testing the waters. Her goal is to be recruited by a D1 program.

"With playing at the highest level it is hard to maintain consistency," Harding said. "My focus is to continue to strive with the consistency while reaching my goals."

Marc Weekly, son of Tennessee coach Ralph Weekly, coached Harding back in her 14U days.

"Kalei is a physical specimen who has a college level arm right now," Weekly said. "She has the ability to go deep in the 5-6 hole and throw out all types of runners. She is very clutch at the plate and squares the ball up on a regular basis. Although quiet, she has a tremendous amount of inner confidence and is a great leader on our team."

What has been your biggest accomplishment--or one you're the most proud of--in softball? Being able to compete at the highest level.

What does softball mean to you? Softball means me getting to opportunity to compete and making life long friends with my teammates.

Where are you at in the recruiting process? Are you looking at certain schools? I am currently at the beginning/middle stages and showing interests in different schools. I've enjoyed multiple visits and look forward to more in the future.

What has been your favorite club tournament? Scenic City and Nationals because it's fun to compete for a championship.

What is your family like?  Fun and outgoing. Very loving and caring, also goofy.
What are your ultimate dreams/goals? To play D1 and possibly become an anesthetist.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why? My father. He pushes me every day to go harder and he never gives up. He will always be my #1 fan.

Off the field, where would we find you if you have a weekend free? At home getting my sleep in, outside hitting into a net, or somewhere with my friends.

If you were stuck on an island, what's the one thing you'd have to have? Music; I'm always dancing 

What kind of music do you like? Old school, R&B, and Hip-hop. Preferably Drake.

Who are some of your favorite softball players? Lauren Chamberlain, Michelle Moultrie, Alex Powers.

What is your favorite pro team? USSSA Pride

What's the best advice you've ever received? Believe in yourself and learn to let loose and just play the game.

What is your favorite movie? Don't have one but my favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy.
