The sophomore pitcher/hitter threw a complete game against No. 1 Florida State with 15 strikeouts on the opening night of the tournament. On the second day, she hit a RBI double to center to secure the win in the bottom of the ninth against No. 19 Arizona State.

"The biggest thing to me is her ability to throw around the plate," Texas A&M coach Jo Evans told ESPNW. "Last year, she was throwing way too many pitches. This year, she's much more efficient; she's able to throw strikes on both sides of the plate... She's really athletic, and a lot of pitchers, sometimes are not as athletic. So when they're throwing the ball everywhere, they don't have the kind of control over the body that Sam has."
Last night, No. 5 Texas A&M lost their first game of the season 1-0 against the University of Houston in a pitcher's duel. In relief, Show put on another clinic by throwing three hitless innings, striking out five and only allowing one runner on base.
It's almost needless to say, but keep an eye on the Aggies and their show-stopping pitcher this season. With a young cannon like that on the mound, their team has a bright future.
