Did you ever think this day--signing with your dream school--would come? Yes, I knew this day would come, although it did feel like forever until I was able to sign to my dream school, The University of Tennessee.
Where will you be signing your Letter of Intent this week? I will be signing my national letter of intent at my high school, Rosemount High School (Rosemount, MN). We have our organization signing party this Sunday held by Will Tomasello.
Will it be a big occasion or more low-key? It is a pretty big occasion at the high school, it's held in the morning with other signees and a lot of friends and family come and watch.
Will you do anything to celebrate the big day? No big celebrations planned. I'm just excited to have family and friends come to the high school to watch my signing. We'll have plenty of orange around, and I'm sure we will be taking lots of pictures.
What date did you actually commit and how long ago was it? I committed November 17th, 2013 of my freshman year, so just about 4 years ago.
What highlight stands out to you about the recruiting process? I am thankful for all of my offers and the support of my parents in the recruiting process. They allowed me to take my time and I was fortunate enough to visit as many college campuses and make sure I made the right decision.
What was the "aha" moment when you knew the program was the right one for you? My "aha" moment is when I first met Karen Weekly. We really have a special bond, with a lot of things in common, and she really made me feel at home.
What will signing with your dream school mean to you personally and to those who've been part of your success (family, coaches, teammates, etc.)? Signing to my dream school will mean a lot to my family, friends and coaches as they have seen me put in all my hard work throughout the years. As for myself, I feel so blessed for this opportunity and I cannot wait for my future as a Vol.
How much gear/product do you have of your future school? When it comes to gear...I have quite a bit of it. I basically wear it everyday to all my workouts, but I think my dad may have me best for apparel owned. Since I have been committed he has really gotten into Tennessee sports so he loves the university almost as much as I do!
What's next for you and your softball plans? I will be trying out for the Junior Women's National Team this winter, as one of my goals is to make team USA. I am also excited to be again playing for my travel ball team of 4 years, the Georgia Impact.
