We unveil player No. 7 in the 2016 Louisville Slugger Hit Club... it's LSU-bound Amanda Doyle!
For the second year in a row, 10 top batters from across the nation will enjoy a three-day experience of a lifetime as they'll participate in the Louisville Slugger Hit Club which had partnered with PGF and will take place in Huntington Beach, California.
FloSoftball is excited to be the media platform for all things Hit Club and we’ll have more details in next few weeks including the announcement of the players who will get to benefit from on-field and off-the-field activities.
Last year’s inaugural class included Shay Knighten of the National Champion Oklahoma Sooners and NCAA Div. I Freshman of the Year Amanda Lorenz with the Florida Gators.
Who will be next year’s standout freshman player who could win All-American honors or even win a National Championship?

Best high school/club experience ever:
My best high school and club experience was having the opportunity to play with my older sister for two years.
Why did you choose the Tigers?
I chose LSU because of the great softball program and the homelike feel of the school.
What key factors led into the decision?
Two very important factors were the way the coaches and the girls on the team made me feel at home and how they welcomed me like I was already a part of the team.
What's the funniest thing you've seen happen on the softball field:
Watching one of my quietest coaches get on a bucket and dance to Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas.
Best movie you've seen in the past year or two:
Now You See Me.

Best advice to young players/recruits:
The best advice I can give is to always be loud on the field even if you aren't playing well because that catches the attention of coaches.

What do you want to do after softball ends?
I would like to become an elementary teacher.
What is your approach to hitting?
The best approach to hitting is to have a clear mind and not to think when you're up to bat.
What's something about you unique or unusual that most don't know:
I can say the alphabet backwards and I love goats!

Before I take the field I have to touch the chalk line with my hand.
