Powder Springs -- The Atlanta Legacy Showcase continued on Saturday as the Tennessee Fury Platinum, East Cobb Bullets, and Atlanta Vipers all posted impressive wins.

TN Fury Face Off

The Tennessee Fury Platinum (14U Girls) squared off against the Fury Premier (14U Girls), capitalizing on a number of defensive miscues and riding the arm of starter Allison Farr en route to an 8-1 victory.

The right-hander pitched six innings while giving up only one earned run.

Fury Premier took an early lead over the Fury Platinum in the bottom of the first inning as Sarah West notched a bloop RBI single to shallow right field to score Sissy Atchley. The Fury Platinum answered in the top of the second when Gracie Lusk reached first base on an error, allowing Kaylan Cole to score from third and tie the game at 1-1.

Three consecutive singles -- from Patyn Cripps, Gracie Pippenger, and Atchley, respectively -- loaded the bases for the Fury with one out in the bottom of the second inning. Farr forced back-to-back infield pop-fly outs, however, to escape the inning unscathed.

Premier committed fielding errors on three straight plays in the top of the third inning. The Fury Platinum's Taylor Sanders opened the inning reaching first base on an error by the shortstop, later scoring on an error to give her team a 2-1 lead. With runners on the corners and no outs, Kaylan Cole connected on a pitch for an RBI ground rule double that bounced just shy of the left-center field fence and over. Cole later tagged up and scored on a sacrifice fly from Sydney White. Gracie Lusk singled to right field to score Lilly Holston and the Fury Platinum held a 5-1 lead heading to the bottom of the third inning.

After a one-two-three bottom of the third from Farr, the Fury Platinum used a two-out rally in the top of the fourth inning -- comprised of a single up the middle from Abby McNamara followed by a Kalei Harding RBI double to deep centerfield -- to extend their lead to 6-1.

The final damage came in the top of the sixth inning. Following back-to-back infield singles from Maddie Clark and Sanders, respectively, McNamara drew a walk to load the bases with no outs. White drove in a pair of runs with a double to right field, putting the Fury Platinum up 8-1.

East Cobb Bullets Caldwell vs Carolina Elite Gold Fisher/Genovese

In the second game on Saturday, the East Cobb Bullets -- Caldwell (14U Girls) used a three-run second inning to sieze momentum and hold on for a 5-1 victory over the Carolina Elite Gold -- Fisher/Genovese (14U Girls).

Jackson County High School's Sara Beth Allen singled in the top of the second inning to score high school teammate Caroline Davis and put the Bullets up 1-0. A fielding error allowed Locust Grove High School's Bailee Richardson to reach safely as Kennesaw Mountain High School's Hannah Forehand scored from third. Villa Rica High School outfielder Madison Langford legged out an RBI infield single, scoring Allen and giving the Bullets a 3-0 lead after the top of the second frame.

Cayla Bishop of Lamar County High School singled to right field in top of the fourth inning, scoring Forehand and extending East Cobb's lead to 4-0.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Carolina's Tatum Arboleda doubled to left field with two outs and later scored on an RBI single from Lath Freeman to cut their deficit to 4-1. The Bullets answered in the top of the sixth inning, however, as Bishop notched a two-out RBI double to deep right field to East Cobb a four-run lead once again.

Atlanta Vipers Jiles vs Birmingham Thunderbolts 02 Roberson

In the lowest scoring and most tightly contested affair, Saturday's third and final game saw the Atlanta Vipers Jiles (14U Girls) squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Birmingham Thunderbolts 02-Roberson.

Vipers' second baseman Ansley Yantis of Harrison High School flashed the leather early on, assisting on an inning-ending double play in the top of the first inning and a double play once again in the top of the second inning. The teams remained in a scoreless gridlock until an RBI groundout from Birmingham's Aubrie Lisenby gave the Thunderbolts a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

In the bottom of the third frame, the Vipers had the bases loaded with two outs when Mount Paran Christian School's Sydney Chambley hit a bases-clearing double to give Atlanta the 3-1 lead.

Lisenby's sacrifice fly out in the top of the fifth inning scored Natalie Hurdle and pulled the Thunderbolts within one run. Birmingham stranded runners on second and third, however, and were unable to tie the game. The Thunderbolts threatened once more in the sixth inning with a runner on second with two outs, but a fly-out to center field stranded the runner and ended the game.
