The Clint Myers Effect: Realizing Potential One Team at a Time
Clint Myers seems to have the Midas touch when it comes to taking over underachieving programs. How does he do it?

Myers claims there is no secret—he just tests his players against every possible softball scenario, and they buy in.

Pre-Myers

The 2005 Arizona State team and 2013 Auburn team share so many similarities. Did you know that both programs had 30 wins to their name before Myers took over? They share the same number of runs scored (177) with doubles and home run numbers that are nearly identical.

Top of the PAC

During his inaugural 2006 season at Arizona State, Myers increased the Sun Devils' record by 23 wins, 130 runs, 117 hits, and 32 home runs. The pitching staff also set a program best ERA at 1.18. They finished the 2006 season tied for fifth place at the Women’s College World Series.

By year three, Myers and the Sun Devils hoisted the national championship trophy. From 2005 to 2008, he increased their win percentage by 120%. He took the program from 177 runs scored to a program high of 480.

Succeeding in New Territory

After the 2013 season, Clint Myers left Arizona State to take over the 30-23 Auburn program. Since Myers has been at Auburn, they have improved in every single offensive and defensive category.

When comparing the 2013 and 2014 season, the Tigers went from 177 runs scored to 440. They registered 108 more hits, 28 more doubles, with 51 more home runs in 2014 than in 2013.

By year two at Auburn, the Tigers raised their win percentage by 87% under Myers. They scored 349 more runs in 2015 compared to 2013—a 197% increase from 2013 to 2015.

The Tigers went from hitting 32 home runs in 2013 to hitting 99 home runs by 2015. Credit for Auburn’s explosive offense goes to Casey Myers, who now coaches for the San Diego Padres.

2015 was the season of firsts. The Tigers won their first SEC Tournament title, first Regional, and first Super Regional while making their first Women's College World Series appearance.

Will we see the same National Championship magic in season three under Myers?
