Fill in the blank… The best part of softball is:

I love the competition between the batter and myself.  I feel like it is a chess game.  Also, I have learned many life lessons through the sport.

What are your plans for the summer?

Lots of travel! I am playing for Team Seattle coached by Heather Tarr, JT D'Amico, and Mike Roberts (UW coaches).

What pitches do you throw, what would you say is your "out" pitch?

Curve, drop, rise, change; my curve is my out pitch!

How did you get invited to play for Team Seattle and what does that mean to you?

I attended the UW camp (spent a lot of time with Danielle Lawrie) last fall.  Based off of my performance, I was asked to stay after camp to tour the campus and spend time with the coaches. This opportunity gives me ample time to not only show the coaches my skills, but it also gives me time to get to know the coaches.

How is the recruiting process going, have you camped anywhere or taken unofficial campus visits?

I have attended the Washington, Oregon, Arizona State, and Oklahoma Camps each of the the last three years.  I have also taken an unofficial visit to Oregon.

What's been your favorite softball memory so far in your young career?

Winning the Colorado Sparkler 12U Gold Division last summer.

Favorite motto or philosophy of life:

Dream Big!

If you could spend the weekend with anyone doing anything anywhere in the world, what would you do?

Attend a Justin Bieber concert with my friends.

What's something unusual or different about you that few know?

I have batophobia, which is the fear of tall buildings.

What's the one thing/object, besides your phone, that you can't live without?

LuLu Lemon clothes, Nike Shoes.

Do you have any softball superstitions or rituals?

I have to always wear a hat/visor and a hair bow.  I always fix the dirt in front of the rubber prior to each inning, I'm kind of OCD.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Try to live in the present moment.

What's your "guilty pleasure," something you hate to admit you love?

Joe's Italian Ice in Anaheim, California.  I got to meet Joe during the Mother's Day Gluv Tourney last weekend.

If you could have a super power, what would you want it to be?

Read people's mind.

Last song you bought:
"Panda" by Desiigner

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?

My Great Grandma Phyllis... dinner would be her homemade fried chicken and fresh baked bread.

What did you want to be when you were little?

Be involved in MLB in some capacity.

Nickname(s):

"L Train" (My dad's friend gave me this nickname when I was in 8U), but most recently, the SoCal Athletics coaches nicknamed me Big HOSS, which I like so much better!

Something on your "must do" list:

Go to the College World Series both as a fan and a player.

Describe yourself in one word on the field… and off the field:

On the field I'd say "Composed" and off the field I'd say "Outgoing."
