LINCOLN, Neb. – Last week, Husker softball player Kiki Stokes was taken as the sixth pick in the National Pro Fast-Pitch CollegeDraft. Kiki, then went out and led the Huskers to a three-game sweep of the Northwestern Wildcats.
For that Kiki has been voted Big 10 Player of the Week. She hit .417 in the three games with three homers and four RBI. Kiki was 4-for-7 in Sunday's 11-9 11-inning marathon over those Northwestern Wildcats.
The Huskers are now 28-14 and 9-5 in the Big 10 and visit the Golden Gophers of Minnesota this weekend for three.
