Our FloShowdown of the Week is reserved for the matchup we are most excited to see that weekend, and we are PUMPED to see who's going to take the Oklahoma vs Baylor matchup this weekend. Big 12 bragging rights are on the line, and right now No.18 Baylor sits atop the conference at 5-0. No. 15 Oklahoma suffered a bad conference loss to Kansas and at 3-1 is two spots behind Baylor in conference play right now.

Baylor comes into the OU series on a five-game win streak with big-time recent wins over Texas and Louisiana-Lafayette, while OU is 9-1 in their last ten games with a huge win over Alabama, but a disappointing loss versus Kansas.
Baylor brings the top pitcher and top hitter in the conference to the FloShowdown. Heather Sterns leads all pitchers in the Big 12 with a 1.32 ERA and Sarah Smith leads hitters with a .429 batting average. As a team though the Bears have an unimpressive 2.23 ERA and are only batting batting .318.
Oklahoma now boasts the second best batting average in the country at .368. Every single Sooner starter has a higher batting average than Baylor's team average, and all but two in the Sooner's starting lineup are underclassmen.
The big questions of this FloShowdown will be if Heather Sterns can hold off the young, explosive offense of the Sooners and if the Baylor offense can take advantage of the OU pitching staff's 2.89 ERA.
The FloSoftball staff gives our nod to the Sooners, evidenced by the fact we have them ranked three spots higher than the Bears. Take a look at our other picks for the weekend's best matchups and make your own picks in our series You Pick 'Em!
