Team NJ Fall Showcase Wraps Up Sunday
Sunday will wrap-up the weekend of play at the Team NJ Fall Showcase and after heavy raining cost a few games Friday night, the weekend has seen blue skies
Sunday will wrap-up the weekend of play at the Team NJ Fall Showcase and after heavy raining cost a few games Friday night, the weekend has seen blue skies and some great softball.
One of the top storylines of the event has been the stellar play of PA Chaos which ran its record to 4-0 after two more wins Saturday, defeating The Next Level (California) and Carolina Elite.
Sunday’s action saw the team—one of the best in the nation, although perhaps underrated because it didn’t play in any nationals this summer—taking on the always competitive Lady Lightning Gold team coached led by John Corn as well as inner-state rivals Newtown Rock.
Some of the stars for Chaos, which should again be one of the elite teams at the 18U level with Oregon commit and two-time Gatorade State Player of the Year Maggie Balint, include senior outfielder Hannah Edwards, who has been a force at the plate going-3-for-5 on Friday and is headed to Pitt, and senior first baseman/outfielder Caela Abadie, a St. Joseph’s commit, who knocked in two home runs with four RBI on the first day.
