Right before the holidays we had a chance to watch the So Cal Choppers – Shipman/Ziese 16U team play, which has a loaded sophomore class that includes nine players going to programs like Arizona State, Boise State, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State, San Diego and San Diego State.
The LSU commit is Amanda Doyle, an infielder who was the first of the 2016’s to verbal. This clip is from December and I apologize to Amanda we didn’t post it earlier (notice the last question has to do with Christmas… oops).
In any case, she’s a hitting machine as shown by how she’d doing at Canyon High in Canyon Country, Calif.
Through 13 games she’s hitting .462 with six home runs in 44 at bats.
Finally, when we interviewed Choppers coach Jim Ziese about Amanda, here’s what he said:
“Amanda is a kid who can play all four infield and all three outfield positions very well. Recruited primarily to play third base at LSU, she can not only hit for average, she can hit for power as well.”
