The Texas Bombers organization, which already had 23 fastpitch teams located all over the Lone Star State, has announced it will be crossing the state line to pick up four new teams.

“Effective immediately,” Scott Smith, the Program Director and Head Coach of the Texas Bombers Gold team said today, “the Louisiana Pride will join forces with the Texas Bombers and be known as the Louisiana Bombers.”

The Pride teams that will merge into the Bombers structure includes the 18U Gold, 16U Futures, 14U Prospects and 12U squads.

“It’s not often you find an organization that mirrors your own,” continued Smith.  “But the more time we spent with the Pride officers, the more we realized how similar our goals, work ethic, and overall commitment to the mission mirrored each other.  We’re always looking to add high-quality coaches to our organization and the coaches from the Pride will enhance our program.”

According to Smith, the advantages for the Louisiana coaches and players falling under the “Bomber Nation” umbrella includes accessing the existing coaching workshops, recruiting coordinators and player development resources.

“The newest Bombers will also benefit from the organization’s corporate sponsorship and deep discounts on equipment and apparel from Worth/Rawling, Mizuno footwear, Diamond O Sports and Black Star Athletics,” explained Smith.
