One of the top club softball players in the country regardless of class or position is catcher Bailey Hemphill of the Louisiana Voodoo organization.

The Louisiana junior was a 1^st Team Full Count Softball High School All-American after hitting .630 with 17 home runs and leading her team to a Class 4A state title. She’s also a 4.0 student and should be a standout in the competitive SEC.

Bailey and her team competed at the Diamond 9 Sun Classic this weekend and after a game on Saturday I caught up with her to talk recruiting, winning state championships and more. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I made a big error: I was mentioning two Tide recruits and meant to say Kyra Lockhart and Maddie Morgan and massacred Kyra’s name… I blame the cold weather!
