Jenny Chapman, a 2016 pitcher from McCracken County High in Paducah, Ky., made sure that—even for her prom held May 2 at the high school—she integrated her love of softball.

Jenny, who has committed to Louisiana Tech and will play for Texas Glory this summer, posed for pictures in the dugout and on the field with her date, Drake Bowman, a football player for the high school.

Her father, Jim, explains: “We asked Jenny where she wanted her pictures to be taken and she said the softball field because that was one of her favorite places to be.”

The junior pitcher wasn’t the only member of her softball team to dress up, either.

“It was very nice for Jenny to see her teammates in their prom dresses,” the athlete’s father explains. “ There were a few softball bruises showing!”

As of late last week, the Mustangs were 23-3 with Jenny picturing two perfect games.

The team has been ranked No. 1 in the state for most of the summer.
