Former Vols great to lead Texas club organization (6/2)

The Texas Sudden Impact organization has announced that former Tennessee Vols All-American Lindsay Schutzler (now Lindsay Schutzler Bell) has been brought on to be the President/General Manager.

“Lindsay brings a tremendous amount of qualifications to this position with both her on-field and off-field experiences/education,” says Tim Dutton, who has been serving as the President and General Manger of the Impact.

Schutzler was a three-time All-American and three time Academic All-American at the University of Tennessee from 2004 – 2007.

The lefty-hitter played in three straight Women’s College World Series (2005, 2006, 2007) and holds numerous NCAA records.

She also played for USA Softball and won a Gold medal in the 2006 World University Games in Taiwan. In 2007, Schutzler was also the first overall selection by the Chicago Bandits in the National Pro Fastpitch draft.

When the three-time All-American graduated, she finished as the program’s all-time leader in hits (362), triples (20), runs (241), stolen bases (120), games played (296), games started (294) and at-bats (946).

In addition to her stellar playing career, the Vols great holds a Bachelor’s of Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Education from UCLA. She has held positions in the collegiate softball world as an Athletic Academic Advisor at Ohio State University and later held the position of Director of Softball Operations at the University of Tennessee.

Schutzler Bell is also a high school softball coach at College Park High in The Woodlands, Texas.
