  • Amador Valley also had six last at-bat victories, two of which were walk-offs

Best at Bat of the Season (by Coach Borchard):

“I chose this at-bat for the overall magnitude/importance of the situation and “battling” to achieve a positive outcome!”

“It was the NCS semi-final on June 2 versus Castro Valley. In the fourth inning with our first run in, no one out and runners on second and third, sophomore Jenyce Dutcher came to bat and with an 0-2 count proceeded to work the count full and then hit a sac fly to left scoring Jessica Emde with the second run.”

“This run proved to be the eventual game winner, sending Amador to the NCS Championship.”

Best Assist of the Season (per Coach Borchard):

“This was chosen for overall magnitude/importance of the situation and nature of the play!”

“In the same game, the June 2nd NCS semi-final versus Castro Valley, we were in the sixth inning and Castro Valley’s No. 4 batter doubled to right field and attempted to stretch it to a triple. Courtney Hennings fired the ball to third on a one-hope to Jenyce who applied the tag for the third out.”

“Our seniors — Emily Roskopf, Kate Moore (captain), Courtney Hennings (captain) and Sammy Salustri (captain)— have established a winning tradition at Amador that we will work hard to continue.”

  • never lost to the same team twice
