Emily Goodin pitched Southern Force to a 3-1 victory over the Texas Bombers in a 16U Premier Winner’s Bracket game.

FloSoftball did a live blog from the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championships on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Fountain Valley Sports Park and Huntington Beach Sports Complex where the 14U Premier and 16U Premier Divisions are in the second day of bracket play. Here’s how it all went down.

The 16U Premier Division seems to be wide open and no team appears to be safe from the stiff competition at the PGF Nationals. So Cal Athletics-Myers/McNee (Calif.), Beverly Bandits Premier-Allen (Ill.) and OC Batbusters-Briggs (Calif.) all looked like top contenders heading into the tournament, but all three teams went 0-2 and were eliminated by Wednesday morning.

Southern Force-Peyton (KY) knocked the Texas Bombers Gold (Tex.) into the Loser’s Bracket and Georgia Impact-Jeffreys (Ga.) upset the Wichita Mustangs (Kan.) in the latest 16U Premier Winner’s Bracket games.

So Cal Choppers-Fausett entered PGF’s 14U Premier Division as the team to beat and they have easily advanced to the third round of the Winner’s Bracket, outscoring their first two opponents 15-0.

Check out highlights from all the 16U Premier and 14U Premier Winner’s Bracket games and all the  scores at FloSoftball’s PGF Nationals scoreboard:
