Here's When The FSU Cheer Team Competes At 2025 UCA College Nationals
The Florida State cheerleading squad will be competing for national championships this year at the 2025 UCA College Nationals. Here’s when FSU competes.
Two years ago, the Florida State University cheerleading team won its first Universal Cheerleaders Association national championship and first national title of any kind since 1997.
The Seminoles fell just short in their bid to repeat, but they’re ready to take another crack at national glory this week at the 2025 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship.
The event will take place Jan. 17-19 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

This competition is the culmination of a year of hard work and is the most prestigious event on the collegiate cheer and dance schedule.
The 2023 Division IA Small Coed Cheer crown at UCA College Nationals also was the first coed win for the Seminoles, who took home an all-girl National Cheerleaders Association title in 1997.
In its title defense last year in Orlando, FSU finished second behind Memphis in the Small Coed standings (90.8 to 87.9).
This time around, however, the Seminoles are only scheduled for the all-girl competition at UCA College Nationals.
When not competing, the Garnet Cheer Squad (stunt partners) and Gold Cheer Squad (multi-base team) can be found at many Florida State sporting events – football, volleyball, basketball – often alongside Cimarron, an FSU mascot used for non-football games and events.

Florida State Cheer Team Schedule At UCA College Nationals 2025
- Florida State Cheer will compete in the DIA All Girl Cheer semifinals on Jan. 18 at 9:28 a.m. (AdventHealth Arena – South).
How To Watch UCA College Nationals 2025
The entire event is streaming on Varsity TV and the new FloSports app beginning Jan. 17.
Event replays, highlights and breaking news will be available on both platforms.
The rebroadcast will stream on Varsity TV on a delay of 24 hours.
