The Master Verbal Breakdown and the Hot 100 Breakdown revealed that the SEC has been dominating recruiting. But why? 12 out of 25 of the Top 25 in 2016 recruits are going into the SEC Conference along with 38% of the Hot 100. We've come up with the 6 reasons why recruits are choosing the SEC and their No.1.
1. Iron Sharpens Iron: The SEC is the strongest softball conference in the country. If you play in the strongest conference, you train with and against the best in the country all season long increasing the likelihood of a post-season, WCWS run. 2. Funding & Football = More Resources: On May 29, 2015 the SEC announced that it came into quite a bit of money last year, pulling in $455.8 million in revenue and distributing $31.2 million dollars in revenue per school.
