In our ongoing series featuring recruit visits to campuses, we're looking at Pac-12 powerhouse UCLA and its 2016 recruiting class of six.
Visiting UCLA for the UCLA-Arizona State football game this past weekend were (l-r) Maddie Skibitzki, Jacqui Prober, Aaliyah Jordan, Madilyn "Bubba" Nickles, and Jenna Crawford. Not pictured was Stephanie Soriano who arrived for the festivities just prior to the game after taking the SAT.
Prober demonstrated her dedication to her club team the All American Sports Academy 18U by driving up (5 1/2 hours) to the the PGF Ultimate Challenge in Salinas, Calif. after the football game to help her team reach the finals.
Nickles, who was the youngest player on the USA Jr. National Team this summer, described the official visit as "much better than I ever expected because I got the chance to have the time of my life at one of the best schools."
The group kicked off the visit by watching their future teammates practice, then spent the rest of their day with their player hosts visiting the upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment complex known as the Third Street Promenade in downtown Santa Monica. The recruits then took in the tailgating experience at the Rose Bowl before having the opportunity to go down on the field before UCLA's football team took on the Arizona State Sun Devils.
