Teams of the Hot 100 players represented 16 different states across the country, spread out from the west coast, to the southeast, along the east coast and even a couple midwest states. California took the lion's share of the Hot 100, with 31 players, while Texas and Georgia checked in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

The 100 players spread fairly evenly across the club teams represented, but the SEC-country Birmingham Thunderbolts boasts the most Hot 100 players with eight, while Auburn University has the most recruited Hot 100 players with five.

Speaking of the SEC, that conference has the most Hot 100 players with the Pac-12 trailing close behind at No. 2. Those two conferences account for a whopping 64% of the recruits while the other 10 conferences represented share the remaining 36%.

Not surprisingly, just over a quarter of the list includes pitchers, while 14 catchers bump the number of battery players to just over 40%. How important is the battery, am I right?

A staggering 22 newbies make the list, with the PA Chaos' pitcher Maggie Balint being the "biggest mover" after coming from the watch list to break into the top 5. Two others, Alyssa Barrera and Nerissa Eason, crack the top 15 after not making the list last year.

Beverly Bandits ace Miranda Elish beat out All American Sports Academy's Madilyn Nickles â€” who was the only player to make the USA Junior National Team this summer — for the No. 1 spot on the list while Bailey Hemphill of the Louisianna Voodoo, Maggie Balint of PA Chaos, and Dejah Mulipola of OC Batbusters - Haning/Stith rounded out the top 5. The top 5 players represent the following universities: Oregon, UCLA, Alabama, Oregon, and Arizona.

Who's ready for the next Hot 100?
